Who is The Mac Mechanic?
We’re a personable, flexible IT support business from Melbourne headed up by chief geek Darcy Hellier, who boasts more than two decades of experience. Small and nimble, we work as part of your team and can even act as your internal IT staff. We love working with all small businesses, but have proven expertise in supporting PR, Legal, Creative, Horticulture, Architecture and HR businesses.
Get to know the Founder
Chief geek Darcy Hellier has over 20 years’ IT experience, working with Macs ever since he started as a junior at a creative agency.
Equal parts left and right brain, Darcy was born with the gift of the gab and an obsession with technology since the dark ages of dial-up.
When he’s not helping clients, he balances his screen time by going ‘bush’ on his bike in Victoria’s mountain ranges, barracking for his much loved Demons or spending time with his young family.
